Although it's after 6pm, I'm just now hopping on here for the day. We had a beautiful day here, so we made the most of it by being outside pretty much all day.
I started the morning with one of the requisite marriage classes at our church so that we can get married there in August. That was fun, and a great way to spend the sort of rainy morning.
Right after we got out of the class, we headed a little further downtown to a St. Patrick's Day festival called Shamrock the Block. We got there just as it was starting and wasn't too crowded. I love that I was able to walk around and enjoy it without hoards of people everywhere-although, based on my Facebook, we made it out just in time. We left around 1pm-right when everyone else was heading there.
After the street festival, we came home and I did some gardening-or more accurately, mulching. After 2 trips to Lowes and a few hours of work, the yard is pretty much ready for plants. We still have another few weeks before I can plant anything since there's still a chance of frost, but I love that I can even plan a garden here. Never thought I would enjoy that, but I do!
Right as I was ready to come inside, it started drizzling so I put everything away and the second I shut the door behind me, it literally deluged behind me and it's still pouring. It's been a day of perfect timing.
How is your weekend going?

There was a St. Paddy's Day parade downtown, but we didn't want the hassle of tons of traffic so stayed away but had other things to do......it was nice, just being out and getting some of the wonderful sun!
