Well about six cable repair guys later....

One of them finally listened to my suggestion and checked the wire on the pole. My computer and phone kept cutting out. It seemed to get worse when ever the wind picked up a little. The guy checked and saw the wire on the pole had been chewed by squirrels. He said it's pretty common. So at least that's fixed. They also gave us a $20 credit.

Now just to figure out what's the deal with Gather, Redgage and Sidetick. All have been giving me problems lately.Been trying to catch up, but takes a long time to navigate the site and i "ain't got time for that"

Anyone else having problems with the above mentioned sites?

The only problem I have with Gather is that it is very slow.

It's slow for me as well. Sometimes I will switch to a different browser like Safari. I have less plug-ins on there, so it seems to be faster.

Redgage is beyond hopeless for me. They've made me so mad with how long it takes to post earnings that I've given up on them. I've gone back and forth with their "support"(I use that term VERY loosely) and have never gotten any help from them. I'm determined to get my final cashout from them so once they finally post the earnings this month, I should finally be able to tell them good riddance.

I have not been to Redgage lately, but Gather glitches on me constantly, and Sidetick is majorly broken, although I am ready for another cash out and will report on it if I get it.

I found out that if you just keep clicking on either sent or incoming mail on Sidetick, you will get a few hundred points.

Me too Gather has gotten a bit better for me, but that's since my connection was repaired. Still not as fast as it was though.

Wow, sorry to hear about the wires being chewed by squirrels.....we've got bunches of them around, so I'm thinking "oh oh" and hope ours won't get chewed!!!!! I don't do the other two programs you mentioned....quit them long ago.....Gather just seems to be running slow. I did some cash outs last night.....will have to post later.....haven't been on here much.

Well at least they didn't chew the electric wire. I had a squirrel hanging off one last year like a petrified flag.

Maybe a squirrel chewed through their wires as well? I think most sites have been having problems lately. I'm not on sidetick or redgage, but I've been having problems with Gather and Mylot.

Gather seems to be working great for me now. If you find it too slow, try clearing the cache and cookies in your browser. That helps a lot when they haven't been cleared in w while.

HUGS to you Debbie ~ I know it really slows you down when Gather is acting up doesn't it -- plus your squirrel issues " lol! Glad you got that fixed. Well, Gather is a little better than it was.

I don't know about the other Sites you mentioned.

Don't you love how the "experts" never seem to listen to practical advice? Glad you got your cable problem solved (till the next time...). I don't use the other two sites, but I am glad to be warned away.

Would you believe they sent an "expert" out. He "fixed" it so well that another guy had to come out. Unfortunately, Bright House is our only cable company.

Gather has been a pain with losing comments and then doubling up, telling people they cannot view something or it's been removed when it hasn't or just generally being slow. The last few days it's been OK again.

I think the technicians are slowly making improvements on Gather. Yee-haw - Skywords is out of the picture and can't tell Gather what to do any more.

I am not on Redgage, but both Gather and Sidetick load way too slowly -- it must be the banner ads that slow them down

Swagbucks last week was giving me a fit... Gather has been plucking my nerves the last few days, its so slow in loading...
I have had trouble in the past with the phone, everytime it rained, I had no phone, every weekend I had no phone... is went on with the computer too..

No problems with sites, but we did have squirrel trouble with our phone and internet. I gave up on satellite and got an antenna for tv and have been quite happy with the variety and money saved.

We all know Gather is going through some growing (or transition) pains and I'm hoping things will improve.

For your repair story I'll say that I worked in the telephone business for many years and, when a customer complained of intermittent troubles, the first thing we did was climb the pole and wiggle the wires. If that replicated the problem we knew we were dealing with a bad connection. Your last guy did good.
