Ryan's World 2-5-13: More Time With Noah

I have been laid off for quite a while now and that means i get to spend way more time with Noah.

Today is a prime example. Kroger called Katie up and the first words out of their mouth were "Is Ryan working?" lol they know that when i am off Katie is always available. So she went into work about 3 hours early today because someone called off leaving Noah and I alone together most of the day.

Some guys would hate this...i dont at all! Hes a pretty easy going kid most of the time. And now that we're working our way over that sickness thing life is good again.

Today so far i slept in way too long, and have been working on my online stuff aside from caring for Noah. The swagbucks goal is killing me today...100 SB and basically no easy bucks to be had...thats makes for a lot of videos...but i am almost done with it so i will just keep it running in the background for the rest of the night as usual.

I am tossing around the idea of actually setting up a family or household blog. One that i would write about our projects, trials, and just life in general. Much like i do here but on my own little place in the web. I would get my own domain and advertise stuff and whatnot. I have seen a lot of these blogs succeed and i was thinking that i might just have what it takes...how cool would that be? but for now i will just keep brainstorming. But you can bet that if gather ever goes under i will go for it!

I have a ton of videos to edit and share with everyone so expect to see more of me today.

ah yea, the 100 sb is a bit tough today , i'm at 80 swags almost there- stay at home dad isn't so bad - i dunno about personal blog stuff- i ran into trouble with stuff like that, just make sure you have no stalkers before you put that info out

It's actually a beautiful day here today! We got out and did the rest of the grocery shopping that we didn't get done yesterday......then, off to the laundromat.......will I EVER be glad when we get a new washer/dryer (am saving towards that right now, as well as the trip).....hate to think of all the $$$ we've spent there....LOL!!!
I'm a very happy camper, as our very last tax papers arrived today, so we're all ready to meet with our tax lady this coming Saturday......it will be a great time, as we're expecting a nice chuck of a refund....can't wait to find out exactly how much! If it's great, we'll go out to celebrate at a really nice restaurant....LOL!
So glad to hear that you all are feeling much better. It's a real bummer to be down sick!

Our refund isnt going to be that great. We will probably just end up with the child tax credit and break even otherwise. But hey...$1000 is $1000!

That's for sure, Ryan! $1,000 is still quite a good chunk of money!!! These days, any amount of refund is great.

I've been off work since last Thursday and I"m loving every minute of it. It's like freedom! The money is going to be tighter.. but I have so much less stress and am enjoying life more again. I don't think I'll be going back.

haha, I could go for the stay at home life. But i would have to find something to do from home in place of work. I start to feel very...i dont know the right word but basically useless in a less depressing sort of way.

I have been off since early december though...I did do a few little side things though to fill a couple weeks.

I'm still editing photos from Johannesburg. I posted all my NY and London photos on FB and I haven't gotten one like or comment. Either the photos are not showing up on the news feed or no one cares. I'm assuming no one cares because its FB lol.

Life here is the usual for me. Work, work, work. Maybe a show on t.v and that pretty much sums it up daily. Aside from what I do online to of course. I wish I could afford to take time from work. I could get the days off, just can't afford not having the pay. I have so many projects I want to tackle. At least one of them might, if it works out, make me a few bucks. Wish this slimy company I work for, would get me my W2 sent, so I can file my taxes. Or at least the money they owe me for the hours they cheated me out of in my last pay. Maybe then I could afford to take an extra day or two off, and get a few things done.

My husband stayed at home with our kids until they went to preschool. He LOVED it. He said it got a little difficult when he had them both and our oldest was trying to drop naptime and our youngest would be crawling everywhere, but it was only for a few months. Then our oldest went for his 1 year of preschool (we couldn't afford more), and he was back to one-on-one with our daughter. He actually shies away now because the kids are coming home with homework and he's not comfortable with the homework. he's terrified he'll make mistakes. But he's working 5 nights a week now, so everything seemed to work out well.

That is great. I would love to be home with him full time. Actually next week i will be lol. Katie picked up an extra 20 hours putting her up to full time so i have him all week myself. And he has 6 different appointments that week too!
