I might guess that it might relate to the time of the day, when bugs are a nusiance. But yeah sparrows and finches tend to like that stuff..

This is neat.. I have a perfect bird watching back yard.. There's wild berries..a Mulberry tree and plus a farmer feeds his cattle out there..So I see a variety of birds. I Love watching them.
