Would you like some FREE seeds for your vegetable garden?

I came acros a cool site with a really nice idea: helping those in need... food banks are overwhelmed in our current economy; planting a home garden would be of great benefit in these times (ALL the time, really~~local organic produce is much more healthy for us!)

If you are lucky enough to have extra produce this season, think about donating it to a local food bank or help out a neighbor.  :)

This is awesome, thanks! I tried to grow veggies this year but they died. I'm totally not a gardener I MUST be doing something wrong.

What did they from? What did they look like? In pots or in the ground? How early did you start them? From seed or not?
Lots of variables go into garden planting. I keep a garden journal and record how they are doing so I can look back and pinpoint what I was doing wrong.

I bought them at the dollar tree, it was a buzzy seed package. I had Basil and Bay leaves. I think I may not have watered them enough...or too much? anyway they striveled up and looked like little burnt weeds. I was sad, they were looking so nice for a time.

Wonderful idea. Even tho we live in town and don't have much space, I would love to have a small cherry tomato and cucumber garden.

Thanks Carol, great idea. I am going there now to see what they might send me. I love growing veggies and flowers. I come from Oregon though, and since moving to Phoenix, AZ I can hardly get anything to remain alive. lol Oregon soil is like that of the garden of Eden I believe. You drop any kind of seed and it grow, flourishes, multiplies, you name it. Soooooo easy to grow a garden there, here in the heat, oh man, I am being challenged beyond my expertise. It took me 8 months to get my roses to bloom more than once a week.
Any suggestions, maybe an indoor atrium? I think that''s what it is called, lol.

unfortunately I have nothing but a concrete patio that doesn't get enough sun for even container gardening.
